Greetings from Ireland, Green and Ancient Land of Saints and Scholars!

Jane Cox from the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association of Ireland sends an update on plans for our next international conference.

The members of PWSAI (Prader-Willi Syndrome Association of Ireland) are beavering away, along with our partners in IPWSO, getting ready for the 11th International Prader-Willi Syndrome Organisation Conference, which will take place from the 6th to 10th July 2022.

PWSAI and IPWSO site visit

Please come and join us on the campus of the University of Limerick. The city of Limerick, Ireland, is situated on the Wild Atlantic Drive – a dramatic coastal drive which includes such sights as the Cliffs of Moher, The Skelligs (of Star Wars fame), Bunratty Castle and the Ring of Kerry.

Why not bring your family too and stay on for a holiday? Value for money, quality, self-catering accommodation will be available on campus during and after the conference (more information will be provided later). 4 star hotel accommodation adjacent to the conference venue will also be available. And for those looking for something special, with golf courses to match, you can check out Adare Manor and Dromoland Castle among other 5 star options.

As always, the international conference will seek to meet the needs of scientists and clinicians, professional caregivers, and people with PWS and their family carers. As always, it will provide an opportunity for peer learning and support and the bringing together of the global PWS family in accordance with our conference theme, “We’re All in This Together”.

We extend a warm invitation to the PWS community all over the world to come and join us to celebrate and share knowledge gained and progress made in our common quest to make the lives of people with Prader-Willi syndrome better. There will be a ‘Cead Mile Failte’ (a hundred thousand welcomes) for you whether you don’t even know where to find Ireland on the world map, or whether you are part of the Irish diaspora and have always wanted to come here to trace your ancestors.

Ireland, 6th to 10th July 2022!
